Simone da Silva Ribeiro Gomes
Professor in the Department of Sociology and Political Science at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel) and in the Graduate Program in Sociology (UFPel). She is a researcher at the Laboratory of Studies on Collective Action, Movements and Violence (LAMOV) at UFPel and at the Center for Studies in Social Theory and Latin America (NETSAL) at IESP-UERJ. She has experience in Sociology, with an emphasis on Gender Theories, Urban Sociology, Political Violence, the Prison System, Drug Trafficking and Social Movements.
