Sabrina Apitz

Studied Theater at the FU Berlin and in Peru. She was a founding member of the European Community for Cultural Affairs (EGfKA), project coordinator at the FU Berlin, and lecturer at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). She currently works in European political youth education and since 2019 at Kreativ Kultur Berlin as project coordinator for cultural funding consulting. Since 2009 in the BG team.

Magdalena Taube

Editor-in-chief and co-publisher of BG | berlinergazette.de and professor of Digital Media and Journalism at the Macromedia University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. She is the author of “Disruption des Journalismus” (2018) published by Institute of Network Cultures, Amsterdam and co-editor of numerous readers, including “Invisible Hand(s)” (2020) published by Multimedijalni institut, Zagreb.

Leonie Geiger

Completed religious studies with a focus on peace and conflict studies in Hamburg and Groningen (Netherlands). Currently finalizing her dissertation at the University of Bonn. Worked in product development at ZEIT Akademie from 2016 to 2017 and in community management at taz.de from 2013 to 2014. Since 2024 a fact-checker and expert on religion, migration, and asylum policy at SPIEGEL-Dokumentation. Joined the BG team in 2012.

Nick Wilcke

Studied journalism in Berlin and Dublin. He was the producer of the podcast ehrlich Berlin (2023-2025) and the co-founder and editor-in-chief of the campus magazine Die Berliner Schnute. Currently writes newsletters for the Tagesspiegel newspaper. Joined the BG team in 2024.

Holger Kral

Study of biomedical engineering and cybernetics in the former GDR, then study of automation engineering at the TU Berlin, graduation in 1999. Since then he has worked as a system administrator, internet programmer, managing director, and coach. Currently responsible for organizational development in digital transformation at the Staatsoper Berlin. Joined the BG team in 2018.

Krystian Woznicki

Editor-in-chief and co-publisher of BG | berlinergazette.de. Also a critic, curator, and photographer. Exploring politics at the intersection of globalization and digitalization, he has created books that blend image and text: “After the Planes” (2017), “Fugitive Belonging” (2018), and “Undeclared Movements” (2020).
