Sujatha Byravan
Scientist, who has published on a wide range of topics related to science, technology, and development. She was formerly Director of the Fellow Program at Leadership for Environment and Development International in New York and London, President and Executive Director of the Council for Responsible Genetics in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and most recently Principal Research Scientist at the Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy. She and her partner Sudhir Chella Rajan began working on climate change about 15 years ago and coined the term “climate exiles” to describe those forced to leave their countries because of climate change. She is currently based in Chennai, India.
