Dagmar Pelger
Architect and since 2017 part of coopdisco, in Berlin, an architecture and planning cooperative committed to urban development for the common good. She works on urban spatial types of commons as potential commons spaces using cartographic, interdisciplinary and participatory methods. She currently teaches and researches as a visiting professor for Sustainable Cities and Communities at ASL University Kassel and previously at UdK Berlin, CUD TU Berlin, Hamburg, Ghent and Karlsruhe on mapping as a cooperative research and design tool and on models of communal space production from landscape to furniture.
After studying architecture in Karlsruhe and Delft, he worked at Agence Ter Landschaftsarchitekten Karlsruhe, Xaveer De Geyter Architecten Brussels and Barkow Leibinger Architekten Berlin and in 2009 opened her own practice Studio Staartster with Ester Goris in Brussels.
Published “Spatial Commons. On the communitization of urban spaces” (adocs, 2022). In 2019, the nGbK working group Im Dissens? created the street newspaper “Eigentum und Alltag in Oranienstraße”. Between 2014-2020 the mapping series “Spatial Commons” was created at the CUD with a series of publications that are available from the TU Berlin University Press. In 2011, the nautical chart “The Future Commons 2070” was published with magnificentsurroundings.
