Just as in the US, India, or China platforms in the post-Soviet space are also assembling and extracting the labor power of an increasing numbers of workers. Caught up in the machinery of micro-tasking, crowdsourcing, stress, and A/B testing, they do all the hidden labor that appears to be automated. After hiring people on a post-Soviet headhunter platform, eeefff created a fictional space for them to talk and live through this alienated work. The resulting cacophony of comradely intimacy and algorithmically-paced work flows is documented in a hyper-real video-collage. Read more about eeefff’s contribution to the “Silent Works” exhibition in the booklet (pp. 13-14).
