Aidin Turganbekov
Master’s graduate from a dual program at Central European University and Bard College in International Relations and Global Studies. Has a bachelor’s degree majoring in sociology and minoring in international and comparative politics from the American University of Central Asia, based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. During his undergraduate years, participated in several study abroad semesters at the Bard Globalization and International Affairs program, the American University of Armenia in Yerevan, and the Fund for American Studies in Prague. Professionally, he worked at the National Democratic Institute, American Councils for International Education, Oxford and Princeton research centers, the Institute for the Development of Freedom of Information, and the Writing and Academic Research Center at his university. After his recent work at Outright International’s United Nations team, he would like to follow up on his studies and research interests on gender minorities, inclusive policies for all, and advocacy for the Global South and East.
