Specters of Communism

In this dossier, we discuss a wide range of phenomena that are sometimes more, sometimes less directly related to the idea of communism – as a process of overcoming capitalism and, in the sense of the philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy, as a mode of egalitarian coexistence. What they all have in common is the desire to revitalize the idea of political and economic participation along the lines of the commons, unconditional solidarity, and post-capitalism.
