Hybrid Cultures
The false dichotomy of a static vs. a dynamic concept of culture can be overcome by conceiving of culture as plural and, as always, already hybrid. This opens up feedback loops of cultural alienation and cooperation, enabling a shift from conservative identity politics to hybridity politics, from a monocultural to an intercultural notion of culture, and, last but not least, from individuality to relationality and mutuality as the core of cultures and societies in general.
