Zoë Aiano

Filmmaker, video editor and translator with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe. Her field of interest is visual ethnography on the border between documentary and art, social practice and experimentation. In particular, she often addresses issues such as archetypes of femininity and the importance of storytelling in everyday life. She is one of the founding members of the Wild Pear art organization in Serbia and a founding member of ZBOR. She is also a regular contributor to the East European Film Bulletin. As a translator, she has translated various books on art, fashion and science, and was shortlisted for the Pereine Press Prize 2019.
