Tanja Scheiterbauer

Scholar of Islamic Studies who studied at the Universities of Bonn, Marburg and Damascus (Syria). Her dissertation dealt with Islamism and gender from the perspective of social movement research. Since 2013, she has been a research assistant at the Institute for Political Science at Goethe University Frankfurt, focusing on political science and political sociology with an emphasis on the Global South and a special focus on gender relations.
