
Rose Wanjiku
Climate and social justice activist based in Berlin. She has been working as a journalist in Kenya for the past 15 years and is part of several climate justice collectives in Berlin that explore the intersection of climate, feminism, empowerment, and decoloniality. She lends her voice to various climate justice panels and discussions such as Die Klima-Monologe, Systemic Justice, Solidarity Across Borders, Bipoclimate Justice Network, Anti-colonial Networks among others that center the voices of Black women* with refugee and migrant backgrounds in climate justice conversations. She is currently organizing with the International Women* Space and is actively engaged in various forms of activism, community organizing, documentation and advocacy around refugee and migrant women*. She is working to launch a working group known as the Borderless Earth Action Network (BEAN), formed within the International Women* Space to advocate for a feminist, anti-racist approach to climate justice that recognizes the interconnected struggles of marginalized people worldwide and calls for collective action to address the root causes of climate change and the systems that perpetuate inequality.
