Michael Hardt
Political philosopher and literary theorist. He is best known for three books that he co-authored with Antonio Negri: “Empire” (2000), “Multitude: War and Democracy in Empire” (2004) and “Common Wealth” (2009). The trilogy, especially its first volume – Empire – has often been described as the “Communist Manifesto of the 21st Century”. He is Professor of Literature at Duke University and Professor of Philosophy at the European Graduate School / EGS. His latest book is “The Subversive Seventies” and was published in 2023.
