Marie Konrad

Holds a Master’s degree in European Media Studies from the University of Potsdam and the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, specializing in audio-visual storytelling. Her research focuses on transformational spaces, particularly through her photojournalistic work documenting Germany’s outer borders and the identities of people living in border regions. While working as a freelance photographer, she was part of the bUm team from 2023 until recently, working in communications. Originally from Saarland, a region on Germany’s border with France, she has lived in Berlin since 2018.
