Kat Austen
EN / In her artistic practice, she focuses on environmental issues. She melds disciplines and media, creating sculptural and new media installations, performances and participatory work. Austen’s practice is underpinned by extensive research and theory, and driven by a motivation to explore how to move towards a more socially and environmentally just future.
DE / Ihre künstlerische Arbeit konzentriert sich auf die Frage nach der Grenze zwischen dem, was wir als das Selbst und dem/den Anderen betrachten. Sie erstellt Kunstwerke, macht Musik und führt Workshops durch, die dies erforschen. Sie lebt in Berlin, ist Dozentin für Kunst und Wissenschaft am University College London und promovierte in Chemie.
