Judith Vey
Sociologist and active in the field of refugee research since early 2015. In addition to conducting several short studies on anti-refugee protests, welcome initiatives, protest and participation opportunities for refugees, and the situation of LGBTIQ* refugees, she led the Thyssen-funded project “Capacity for Action in the Accommodation of Refugees in Germany” from 2016 to 2021.
She is head of the “Social Movements, Technology, Conflicts” department at the Center for Technology and Society at the Technical University of Berlin and a fellow at the Institute for Protest and Movement Research (ipb), as well as editor of the anthology “Unterbringung von Flüchtenden in Deutschland. Inklusion, Exklusion, Partizipation?” (Accommodation for refugees in Germany. Inclusion, exclusion, participation?, 2021 with S. Gunsch).
