Jinyan Zeng

Feminist ethnographer and sinologist. She has been affiliated with Lund University in Sweden since 2021 and is a CAS-E Fellow at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany from 2026 to 2027. She is the author of “Feminism and the Genesis of the Citizen Intelligentsia in China” (2016), “Ai Xiaoming: A Chinese Woman Intellectual” (2026), and co-author of “Structures of Affect: Gender and Political Culture in China” (2027) with Xibai Xu. She has directed several independent films, including “Outcry and Whisper” (directed by Wen Hai, Zeng Jinyan, and Trish McAdam, 2020).
