Helene Thaa
Sociologist with a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Freiburg, where she also studied Islamic Studies and spent time abroad at Sapienza University of Rome and the University of Michigan. Her master’s thesis explored future imaginaries and societal understandings in the design of transformative technologies.
Since 2019, she has worked as a research assistant in the project “Digital Alienation and the Appropriation of Work,” examining experiences of alienation across diverse digital labour forms. Her research focuses on sociological theory, social philosophy, qualitative methods, political sociology, the sociology of technology and digitalisation, and the sociology of work.
