Gülay Kilicaslan
Kurdish researcher, teacher, and activist working on issues related to forced migration, anti-colonial and revolutionary movements, migrant mobilization and the criminalization of migration, feminist and gender studies, and digital culture. Her writings on Kurdish forced displacement, the Kurdish freedom movement, migrant agency, decolonial feminisms, and gender-based online violence and digital feminist activism have appeared in scholarly journals and edited volumes.
She is currently developing a book, tentatively titled “Deprovincializing Kurdish Politics: Forced Migration and Activism Across Kurdistan, Turkey, and Europe.” In parallel, she collaborates with resettled Yezidi genocide survivors in Canada on research into their evolving political subjectivities.
