Birgit Schneider

Cultural and media scientist, teaches as a professor at the University of Potsdam. Her work focuses on images and ways of perceiving the climate between science, politics, art and the media, the communication of climate change, images of ecology and questions of media and nature aesthetics. Her latest monograph on the subject, entitled “Der Anfang einer neuen Welt. Wie wir uns vom Klimawandel erzählen, ohne zu verstummen“ (The beginning of a new world. How we tell ourselves about climate change without falling silent) was published in 2023.
