Ana Ledezma
Academic, professor, and researcher at Alberto Hurtado University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Chile. She earned a Ph.D. in History from Freie Universität Berlin. Her research interests focus on social representations disseminated through periodicals and occasional printed. In recent years, she has concentrated her analytical work on the symbolic reworking of national identity through popular printed materials in Chile at the turn of the 20th century. Her latest publications include “Valparaíso letrado. Cartografía de los impresos populares porteños al despuntar el siglo XX” and the book “Cancioneros populares chilenos en Berlín: rescate de una práctica musical al despuntar el siglo XX.” co-authored with Tomás Cornejo.
